A week after his mysterious hospitalization, Lil Wayne offered proof-of-life Friday: A video in which the rapper, apparently up and walking around, thanks fans for their prayers (“I felt that love when I was laid up in that [expletive] hospital bed.”) and assures them his new album will be released on schedule next week. Special guest appearance by his friend T.I., who promises their concert tour will also carry on. Amid all this self-promotion, though, no explanation of what exactly ailed him. Strangely, the video was released via TMZ, which T.I. and other members of Wayne’s camp feuded with last weekend, hotly denying the site’s anonymously-sourced claims that he was near death.
