"Carrie" remake debuts first full-length trailer

"Carrie" remake debuts first full-length trailer
The first full-length trailer for the "Carrie" remake, starring Chloe Grace Moretz as the titular, telekinetic teen and Julianne Moore as her fanatical mother, has arrived.

Those who haven't seen the classic 1976 Brian De Palma film, or read the Stephen King book it's based on, may want to proceed with caution -- the two-and-a-half-minute trailer contains a number of memorable scenes that could be considered spoilers (one in a locker room and another at a fateful prom, for example).

"The other kids, they think I'm weird," Carrie is heard saying in the trailer. "I don't want to be. I want to be normal. I have to try and be a whole person, before it's too late."

Of course, things don't quite work out that way for Carrie White.

Directed by Kimberly Pierce ("Boys Don't Cry"), "Carrie" is set to arrive in theaters on Oct. 18.
